A descendant of the English Foxhound, this dog breed that is renowned for his hunting, endurance, speed and loud voice in the field. The American English Coonhound is going to bark a lot and also inlet at home; if you have nearby neighbors, make him a poor choice. He does need a great deal of exercise.

You must have plans to give this competitive, swift and punctual dog enough exercise daily in other ways to prevent him from getting destructive and frustrated if you won’t be hunting him. For a runner, he would make a good companion.
